Blackjack Trainer--computer optimal?

Is the trainer computer optimized or is it set by the site developer? I am trying to learn how to play.

I also play Video Poker. Is it computer optimized? I usually fold 3 card straight and hold a pair. I can see throwing away a small pair, but a pair of Js or better? As I said in another post, I am switching to JOB because it's easier. When I looked at the trainer for DDB, I saw a lot of weaknesses in my game.

On the blackjack side we have a simulator so we can run tens of thousands of hands with an alternate choice if you think any of the charts are wrong.

What I meant was is it set the same way as all strategy guides. As in is it always the best play according to the odds.

Yes, it is set to always to play 100% optimally based on the odds. However, playing optimally depends on the rules of the table. That's why we allow you to adjust certain rules such as if the dealer hits soft 17, if doubling is allowed after splitting, if surrender is allowed, etc. Then you can match the rules to the game offered at your casino or online casino site. There are cases where the best move is different with the exact same cards, depending on the table rules.

Yeah, some of the other strategy guides out there seem to be a little bit off based on the results of our simulations. It is confusing because of all the subtle rule differences.
