    Fortunes Formula

I'm reading Fortune's Formula - The Untold Story of the Scientific Betting System that beat the Casinos and Wall Street.

William Poundstone does a nice job giving the reader a sense of history. Some of the people he mentions are familiar from the Boardwalk Empire series on HBO. Still, I didn't know much about Longy Zwillman until reading about him at the start of the book.

I knew of Edward Thorp on the blackjack side but this book talks about him on the roulette side too.

Book sounds interesting. What is the tl;dr version of the fortune's formula? What was their system?

Finished the book. It ended up being more about the stock market than casinos. However, some of the casino/gambling stuff mentioned early on carried through the book. For example, if one found a theoretical race track that had no juice then one could bet the entire bankroll on each race and bet on every horse in every race. Of course more would be bet on the horses that the bettor likes. This idea is then carried over to the stock market.

I'm not sure what the tl;dr version would be because they talk about so many different things...
