First off, you can minimize the house advantage by following our basic strategy charts and playing perfect blackjack strategy. Do you hit your 12 against the Dealer’s 5 card? If so you’re making a critical mistake costing you a lot of money.

Do you hit your 16 against the Dealer’s 10 card? NO! You should be looking to Surrender that hand if the Surrender rule is available to you, and only if it is not do you hit that hand!

What about A7 against the Dealer’s 10 card? You have 18. And yes, you HIT that hand!

Do you hit 11 vs the Dealer’s 10 card? You better not, you have to Double Down here or else you’re losing a ton of money in the long run.

In addition to all the strategy involved with blackjack, if you keep track of the high cards and low cards (simple card counting), you can vary your initial bet to actually shift the odds to your favor and BEAT the casino.
